It’s that time again when we need to shop for car insurance. If you are like me trying to find affordable car insurance is a nightmare that happens at least once a year. For insurance companies it seems to be a game, constantly raising your rates, slowly at first and then you get slammed. This time around I am going to try something different and let somebody else do my work for me. I am going to search and find someone who will quote car insurance online. I have seen many websites where all you have to do is enter some basic information and within minutes you will have a half a dozen car insurance quotes to examine. Car insurance is one of those necessary evils in the world of personal finance. Car insurance companies are betting that you will not have an accident, but it seems to be a one-way street. If you do have an accident not only do they collect on the premiums anyway, they are likely to raise them. Sure you will get your car repaired or paid off, but if the accident is your fault you can expect to pay an additional 20% on top of already exorbitant car insurance rates. It is a legalized scam in our opinion.
